Assembling one's instrument is the first step of any young musician's daily routine. However, often for the youngest of students, larger instruments can be a bit daunting to wrangle, and the cello here is no exception. Most young cellists experience their fair share of beginner bonks and clangs on their cello.
Below, our Cello Faculty, Lisa Yasui, shares the advice she gives her cello lesson students when they begin their musical journey. She shares the sage advice, "Be careful of your surroundings - the cello is always bigger than you think!".
For further advice on more comprehensive daily cello care, we'd recommend checking out String Magazine's article here, or reach out to contact Lisa directly for advice.
Happy playing!
